Yan Wang, Managing Director

Yan Wang is a Managing Director at RockCreek, where she is a member of the investment team focusing on Asia and emerging markets as a specialist in Asia-ex-Japan investment.

Before joining RockCreek, Yan had experience with Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking division in Beijing, China, and Severn River Capital Management in Greenwich, Connecticut. She holds a M.S. in Finance from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University with a double major in Information Systems and Human-Computer Interaction.

Yan grew up splitting her time between China and US, and these days she splits her time between Washington, DC and Portland Oregon, where her husband runs a family vineyard making natural wine. During her free time, she enjoys singing and was at one point ranked number 3 in a Bel Canto singing competition in Beijing.
