Chris Barber, Managing Director

Chris Barber is a Managing Director at RockCreek, focusing on multi-asset class portfolios. He develops top-down asset allocation views, sourcing and due diligence of prospective investments, portfolio construction, and monitoring.

Before joining RockCreek, Chris was an Economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics within the Division of Consumer Prices, where he was involved in the production of cost weights and development of methodology for revisions to the Consumer Price Index. He earned a M.S. in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.

After spending more than a decade living, working, and studying in Washington, DC, Chris returned to the Bay State in the spring of 2020. Living on the South Shore, he spends much of his free time trying to keep up with his two young children, often as they take advantage of the many local scenic lands and waters preserved by the Trustees and North and South Rivers Watershed Association.
